Certification Course: SP Change Agent

February 19, 2019

Upshifting to Superperformance requires a critical phase transition. For organizations, the experience is the same as water turning to ice –or a tropical storm that becomes a hurricane. It is only when critical mass is achieved that true transformation occurs and change will be lasting. This is a second order change. Why are these simple physics missing from the change management literature?

The reason? The basic premise of change management is flawed. Organizations, projects, and people that achieve true Superperformrance follow a self-same pattern of metamorphosis, and their experience is one of revolution—driven by a higher purpose (not executive fiat.) This remarkable, unstoppable energy comes from the inside out, not the outside in—it is powered by intrinsic motivation. In these environments, people are highly accountable to each other, self- synchronizing and self-motivated to achieve shared goals and unprecedented new results.

Change cannot be managed. It is widely known that most corporate change initiatives fail to achieve their desired outcomes. While the literature suggests that less than 30% successfully accomplish their objectives, change agents themselves report the true percentage is less than 15%. Clearly traditional approaches to transformation – while expedient – have not been very helpful—much less lasting.

The evidence of Superperformance – successful large-scale change in organizations, projects, and people–points to something different, something new.

Course Overview

This certification program is designed to equip change agents with new models, skills, and methods for provoking super change, as well as lay out a simple roadmap to bring about a second-order change in any system. Central to the process is a new understanding for the physics of transformation, to supplant outdated traditional approaches to organization change management. This understanding is based on (1) the actual physics of transformation, (2) state change that occurs every day in the world around us, and (3) examples of real transformation to Superperformance from a wide array of people, teams, projects, and companies. Participants will come away with a Super ChangeTM Model and Toolset for application to any worthwhile corporate adventure or cause.
